The highlight of course was at the top where we found a spectacular view of Tokyo to the east, a highland mountain range to the north and the snow-capped Mount Fuji.

Mount Takao
The autumn leaves are all gone now and its winter in Tokyo but I had to post a few pictures of my favorite outing during the autumn months. Mount Takao which is to the west of Tokyo and just the right distance for a day trip. Mount Takao is a mountain in the city of HachiĆji and is protected within Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park. You have different paths leading up the mountain each with a different level of difficulty or you can take the really easy way and take the cable car.
The highlight of course was at the top where we found a spectacular view of Tokyo to the east, a highland mountain range to the north and the snow-capped Mount Fuji.
